In consideration of the existing device procurement circumstances we offer the “Alternative Device Selection” and “PC Board Redesign” as a promising proposal.

Change of Semiconductors’ Supply Circumstance

Nowadays because the circumstances of hard-to-obtain semiconductors continues, many manufacturers in each industry are facing the serious problems that they are forced to halt or reduce their production. The lead time of some semiconductors becomes approximately one year long and it tends to be getting much longer.
In consideration of these circumstances it is crucial to switch them to the devices (alternatives) which are featuring not only the better characteristics / functions but also much stably obtainable in the future or undertake to redesign PC Boards as soon as possible.

Alternative Device Selection

In the case that we purchase a semiconductor device through Internet Search, we might have the following problems.

The device prices might be dozens of times ～ several hundred times more than the prices through the normal channels(of trading company or manufacturer’s representative).
The device might not be packed in the certified package, the device of poor quality such that the pins are deformed (which seems to be a used-device and is likely removed from PC Board).
An imitation of Chip devices might be delivered because it is impossible to judge its authenticity from the appearance.

Renewal (Redesign)

If the existing situation of being hard to obtain electronic devices in a timely manner would continue for the time being, it shall become a drastic solution to reexamine the product specifications, enhance the product value and “renew(redesign)” the product which shall consist of the devices featuring better availability.

Confirmation of Common Element / Restructure
To restructure the product by combining the unique element and common element per a device which can be made common use or shareable.
Redesign
We implement a redesign of the common elements and around them.
The redesign enables the production cost reduction, common use of a device, improvement of assembly process, development resource reduction, common use of documents. It can enhance the product value at the end.

Review of device’s grade and rank. Review of device’s characteristics and accuracy. Review of device’s access speed and memory capacity. Review of high function electronic devices such as MPU and FPGA.

Fix of Common Element and restructure
To restructure the product by combining the common elements and the unique elements.
